I applied to grad school today.

*looks at application list consisting of: MIT, Northwestern, U Wisconsin@Madison, U Chicago*

Yeah, "safe school" was not really a concept I embraced this time around.

Well, if no one takes me, I'll... do something else!

Hey, my daughter may be applying to a few of those next year. If you wind up at the same place, I'll warn you about a Freshman whose future goals include World Domination.

Well, we'll see about that. These programs get about 200 applications for 4 slots each. But thanks for the good thoughts - and yes, I'll definitely look out for your kid if we wind up in the same place!
