Hee, that's kind of awesome. I mean, I do love vids hardcore. I even roomed with a vidder in New York this past week (and a ridiculously good vidder, at that).
Also not at VVC. Probably will make it some year or other. Have no idea when. Plan on helping my mom find an apartment this weekend so she can move here (yay!). Really must make post about wonderful Tiptree biography I just read.
yeah, see, but there's this whole thing where I've never met anyone in person up to this point and I'm a complete social klutz, so, I think if I were to try do that my head might explode before I even got there. Silly, but sadly true. I need zee baby steps!
Anyway, glad you're on the home stretch school-wize. I don't know how you're even pretending to study with this heat! Good luck with the paper!
No VVC for me this year. I am not sad to be missing the Chicago-in-August weather nor the harder-than-rocks VVC hotel beds. Am sad not to see friends. Will be sad to miss some vids -- and very happy to miss some others, I'm sure -- but J&K will be bringing DVDs back.
I bought a new car this week. My first new new car! It's cute. It's not a hybrid, bad me. But it gets great gas mileage. I would've bought a hybrid if I could've afforded one.
Oh - I had no idea you wouldn't be there this year! But you bought a CAR!! That's such a thing, isn't it, buying a new car. Do you just love it and want to drive it all the time?
Hi. I am not at Vividcon. I am supposed to be at Vividcon, but my flight was canceled last night, due to bad weather (someplace between here and there. I thought it was Chicago but when I got home I looked at O'Hare's status and they were fine). I am rebooked on a stand-by flight this evening (because, of course, a billion people from yesterday are trying to get out today).
When it comes to Vividcon, I am beginning to feel like Fate is trying to tell me something and will keep fucking with me until I get it.
a thing of beauty to be sure! John spent did a summer internship in Joliet without air conditioning one year and you wanna talk about scared for life... He was even more insistant than I was when we were looking for places that mere windowboxes were not adequate proof against Illinois summers. Still, even with, you have to step foot outside sometimes!
OMG SO JEALOUS. I saw an announcement about needing extras and nearly schlepped Fish down to try. Sadly, she was screamy, and we had prior plans. Take pictures.
A new car!! Awesome!! What is it?? And now you can come over and share my central AC next heat wave and bring Charlie Jade!!!
This is Lys, by the way, stealing Felicia's computer and the icon I made for her. Which is rather appropriate since she's off somewhere and I'm stealing her computer. :-> And I can't log out because then she'll notice I was doing more than reading my email. ;-)
I do love my car and want to drive it all the time! I found myself wondering how far I could get in it while listening to the David Copperfield audiobook Dorinda sent me... As long as I stopped for gas occasionally, I could get pretty far. International borders could be reached.
And hey! Congrats on The Dark Knight! Whoooo-hoooo! Gary Oldman!!
Hmmmm. Do I reply to Lys's comment as she was pretending to be Felicia? What is the etiquette of replying to comments left by people who hijacked their friend's login?! *g*
Well, anyway. Lys-via-Felicia: my new car is a Toyota Yaris, and YES to the Charlie Jade marathon at your central AC-ized place! It's only 20 episodes!
