You can always go to the hotel itself and see your friends in the lobby and in the common spaces and in room parties - you just can't go into the three rooms reserved for con members. Lots of locals do that!

yeah, see, but there's this whole thing where I've never met anyone in person up to this point and I'm a complete social klutz, so, I think if I were to try do that my head might explode before I even got there. Silly, but sadly true. I need zee baby steps!

Anyway, glad you're on the home stretch school-wize. I don't know how you're even pretending to study with this heat! Good luck with the paper!

a thing of beauty to be sure! John spent did a summer internship in Joliet without air conditioning one year and you wanna talk about scared for life... He was even more insistant than I was when we were looking for places that mere windowboxes were not adequate proof against Illinois summers. Still, even with, you have to step foot outside sometimes!
