Sides hurt from laughing. Send help.

I don't know if this is genuinely hilarious, or if sleep deprivation has got the best of me, but OMG, there are tears in my eyes. I have absolutely no context for where this...macro?...came from--I don't know who made it, or why. And really, I think that makes it even funnier. I sense that you will either wonder what the hell is wrong with me, or crack up so hard that people will come from other rooms to see why you are dying.

HEE! Sharded barf really does look like sharded barf.

It's almost like a non-English speaker trying to phonetically pronounce English words, and getting them wrong. I wonder if Wa hears stuff like this?

OMG If Wa heard some of these words, she'd probably completely lose it. Or at least she'd have had long enough at this point to school herself (heh) to suppress that reaction, but if someone said MORK in class while trying to say "milk," I don't know that I could maintain.

Yeah, totally!

Hey, you know, it occurs to me those seem like words kids just learning to talk would say, too.

When I was in school I had a linguistics prof from Poland whose command of English was somewhat shaky. When she talked about beeskweets (biscuits) I about died. That's what these remind me of, some of them, anyway.

I wasn't laughing until sharded barf. Then suddenly they were all funny.

Beeskweets. Hee!

While visiting Egypt, a friend asked a local the name of a beautiful bird nearby, and it was years before she figured out that what sounded kind of like "be'ehtahs" was actually bee eaters. Heh.

I lost it at sharded barf, too. I guess some words are humor-triggers.

I read it as "shared barf" -- and that did make me LOL (and be kind of grossed out too!).
