Okay, I have read through all the posts and we are so so very doomed.

To stave off doom-in-ation I have moved to a safer location - now I have a heavy wooden desk lamp, the ear buds for my cellphone and a hair band. I am also willing to donate the shade to anyone who needs it to hide under..and you know...pretend to be a uh lamp...
