Why isn't it next Monday yet?

So, [livejournal.com profile] shrift and I spent pretty much the whole episode shouting the title at everyone on the screen. RUN!!! RUN, HEROES, RUN!!! And no no no no no Suresh and Sylar NOOOOOOO!!! OMG this is SO UNBELIEVABLY NOT GOOD. Everything about this episode was RUN!!!

RUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!!

[livejournal.com profile] shrift would like to know if anyone who watched tonight didn't spend the entire episode alternately shouting RUUUUNNNN!!! at the screen and squeaking incoherently. And if you didn't, how did you manage *not* to?!

Oh Ando, you stupid stupid man. Oh Matt, you stupid stupid man. Oh Nathan, you stupid stupid man. Oh Mohinder, you unfortunate suckered RUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!!

No, seriously, run.

ETA: Dear NBC promo department: the overly dramatically whispered "Somebody Flies, Somebody Dies" is extraordinarily annoying and will not become a viral quote just because you want it to. Shut up and go away and let the show's cult sayings occur organically.

Pretty interesting that the only one showing any sense this episode was Hiro.

RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN!

Hiro is learning. He is fully committed to his powers and sure of what a hero should be and do, unlike the others.

RUUUUUUUUNNNNN!

RUN, HOT DOCTOR MOHINDER! RUUUUUUN!!!

No Peter, which made me sad, but ZOMG the awesomeness of the Nathan/Meredith/Claire scenes totally made up for it. And the reveal at the end with Jessica and Nathan? !!!

I am still totally bored by Matt and Nikki. Sigh. It's all about the Petrellis for me. And Hiro and Ando, of course.

I am apparently in a teeeeeny minority that likes every storyline on the show. :)

And because of that, tonight was INSANELY FULL OF RUN!

[identity profile] 12-12-12.livejournal.com 2007-02-13 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hee. I have a huge Petrelli-bias, which has only grown with the reveal of Nathan as Claire's dad.

I'm in that same minority. Everyone works for me. I love 'em all.

Hey, at least Matt and Nikki are better than Matt and Matt's Boring Wife.

RUUUUUUUUUUNNNN!

I haven't even seen it yet, but I can still participate in spirit. Because I've seen enough of the show to know that a large part of the tension consists of characters being realistically and believably stupid, and yelling at the television "DON'T DO THAT! NO!" and then covering your eyes as they do, in fact, do that.

Hiro is love.

RUUUUUUUNNNN!

Found your comment in my "answer lj comments" email folder (which had scrolled out of my folder window and therefore I am now about a month behind on comments) -

Have you caught up to "Run!" yet??

There was an article in the NYT about a week ago wherein the writer pointed out just that, the promo department's fixation on creating catchy quotes for every few articles.

cult sayings occur organically.

Indeed!
