I think I'm going to split this up into about four posts - there are just. too. many. zines.

All zines will be mailed for cost of envelope (or box) and postage. If you see a strikeout through the name, it's claimed. Post a response here to claim. Once I confirm the claim, email me at tzikeh at thechicagoloop dot net with your snail address.

Also, please, advertise this in your lj if you know of anyone who might like these zines.

I can't possibly answer that question :) . I have over two hundred zines I'm going to be listing over the next few days and I can hardly remember what I had for lunch. I don't *think* I bought any awful zines, but then tastes can be incredibly different too...

I remember liking Ruth Deveros' fiction (she is in some of the Due Friskies) and some of her fic is on the net.

More info on the contents of the zines is at:

*nodnod* Having read her stories online, though, I think I'll pass on the zines.

Good luck with this huge project. I'm sure you'll unload 'em all!

I was wondering, would you be willing to make a copy? I can send cash for the copies and mailing if that helps . . .

Um.

No, I won't send it if you're going to copy it. That is *enormously* frowned upon.

Sorry.

some of the other zines have stories by Barbara Tennison and Gloria Lancaster -- also 2 of my other favorites. Lots to choose from.

As I purchased this zine, it belongs to me and I can do what I like with it (in this case, give it to someone for the cost of postage and shipping). However, this zine is still available for purchase (http://www.knightwriter.org/Shop/Start2.cgi?C=D&I=SD0&T=80200), and any copy made of this zine would take a potential sale away. There's a long tradition of anti-xerox activism in fandom.

Zine publishers put their own money into putting zines together, and then they hope to make most of it back by selling the zines for the cost of the paper, the copying, the binding, and the postage. Generally, zine publishers have ended up losing money on zines they publish. When people copy zines, they're taking sales away from the publisher, and keeping fans who publish in the red.

Sorry, but I can't send you the zine if you're going to copy it. Call me old-fashioned.

I wouldn't consider your view old fashioned. As I told you in my e-mail, I've never seen a zine nor have I generally put much thought into obtaining one, so I wasn't thinking about copyright rules or anything of that sort when I told Ro I'd copy it for her. It genuinely did not occur to me, but your reply made sense. I replied that I'd tell her that wouldn't work out, so that means I won't be photocopying it.

Glad you understand. And fuck copyright; obviously we have a very loose relationship with that set of laws here in fandom-land. It's more about not allowing fellow fans to slip even further into debt because they are willing to keep us in zines out of the kindness of their hearts and their pocketbooks.

You can send your friend or anyone else who is interested to the link in my previous response; the zine is still in print.

Pure Maple Syryup & Bonded

The Pure Maple Syrup zines are lined out, but when I checked the comments, I didn't see that anyone claimed them - unless maybe Laura Shapiro and it wasn't explicit?

Anyway, if the PMS zines are not claimed, I'd like PMS #4, 5, 6, and 7.

Either way, I'd also like Bonded.

I know that you say it's OK to advertise in LJ re the zine offer. Would it be OK to post a link to your LJ entry on a due South, F/V mailing list? I know that there are folks there who would love the Due Frisky zines & Redux.

Hey there - all the PMS zines are gone because my roommate walked into my office and said "I want those!" ;) Sorry.

But yes, you get "Bonded" - so email me at tzikeh at thechicagoloop dot net with your snail. And as it says in the post, feel free to advertise this if you know people who would like the zines.

I was delighted about your comment about Lovers Leap, as I was one of the authors of several pieces in it. QL was a show I loved with a desperate intensity, until the last season. I was so shattered and disillusioned by it, I barely watched the eps, and later on, erased all my tapes!!!!I regret that now, as I want to get back into the fandom, and need to contact people wo want to taalk QL. Are the friskies still available, and can you send an email with costs to me.I have an especial fondness for them, as I was also featured in #1 and #2 of those. Too bad they're gone Anybody wanna talk QL? Justin

Sorry, I meant the Leapin Friskies. My email is Chiwalker @neo.rr.com if anyone want to talk QL, and to send projected costs of the zines. I would like all the Leapin Friskies, please. Since I just found out about this site, looking for QL on the net, I am not currently a Live Journal member, but I am a legit fan and person. Looking forward to meeting other QL fans...I've been out of the loop for years, but I do know Mysti, Doreen Tracy, Ann who pubbed the Friskies, I've been to QL cons and supported the original drive to Keep QL on the air way back when...thanks. Justin
