How Battlestar Galactica Killed Broadcast TV is a terrific read about bittorrent, broadcast television's current business model and wrong-headedness about what bt is doing to/for them, the consumer and their possible inability to adapt to an iTunes model for tv, and what may or may not happen.

ETA: And a follow-up article, about the MPAA suing the six biggest torrent tracker sites just as the need for a torrent tracker site becomes obsolete. I love technology.

Interesting article, but you can tell the guy has never watched SpikeTV and the damn near a third of the screen adverts down where the station tag is each time they come back from commercial. Oh yeah, advertisers know about those.

Thanks for the link. It's funny, because that's exactly why I started watching BSG--because of word filtering in from people who'd seen the episodes after they aired in the UK.
