Yankee Candle has discontinued my favorite scented candle - Chai Tea. Anyone know of another chandler that produces a nice chai tea candle which you can actually *smell* when it burns, as opposed to a candle that smells nice in the store, but emits no scent when you burn it?

A friend of mine's husband makes wonderful candles but I can't remember the name of his company. (I'm addicted to his eucalyptus candles and yest, the scent lasts and lasts. )

I'll be back!

Try small crafters, like Honey Hive Handcrafts. I don't know if Laura has candles on her site yet, but I know she makes them, and you could check with her about a nice chai tea fragrance.

Ah, I just came across that a couple places recently... I think one might have been at Barneys NY, but I need to put the Wayback Machine cap on. These days I find it hard to remember much of anything.

That seems to be an in flavor right now in everything -- body care stuff, too.

I didn't see a listing for chai tea, but to me that means primarily a clove underscent. I can tell you the scent last and is very nice when they burn and that by comparison they are a ton cheaper (although maybe not so much with shipping but still.) I've only ever gotten the eucalyptus and magnolia whcih are very nice without being really heavy. I also know he's always trying new scents so you might even be ablet o send him something similar to what you wnat (like a tea bag) and see if he can match it.

Pier One's candles are very smelly, and they have several tea-scented ones (though I don't think they have chai). Problem is they discontinue scents all the time, leading to frantic bulk clearance purchases...

Have you checked illuminations.com? (I'm pretty sure they're online.) A tad pricey, but they have yummy scents and the ones in the jars last a long time and really do scent a room.

Thank you! I went there and ordered a bunch of little things. Can't wait to try them all out!
