My journal is called "Divers Alarums" because that's what it is, mostly - a collection of alerts to various topics of interest. I'm not great at turning deep thought into writing; I'm better at talking those things out than I am at committing them to paper (or pixels), so I never expected this to be a repository for essays on fandoms or Fandom (though I have, from time to time, gone off on a topic at length and would like to try my hand at doing that more in the future, once my RL lightens up). But I like to point out news and info to my friends and community members, and this is a good place to do it.

My subtitle is non-existent because when I got an LJ they didn't have that option and I've never gotten around to filling it in.

My friends pages is called "them" because, when I created my lj, I wanted to keep my sidebar links short. The link to my info page is "me", so, naturally...

My username is tzikeh because it is a shortened transliteration of the Hebrew version of my English name. I have an etymology somewhere in my lj history...

I have not enjoyed an episode of The West Wing like this since first season. I'm actually thinking I will write a letter to John Wells -- "Dear John Wells, whoever the woman is who wrote "The Supremes"? KEEP HER. Give her anything she wants. She brings the issues. She brings the funny. She brings the spirit of hope and determination and silliness and depth that have been sorely lacking since Aaron Sorkin's departure. She *remembers that Josh has a shoe fetish*. This is why we tuned in. DO NOT LET HER GO."
