Blooper Reel Disaster
Apr. 12th, 2005 04:03 pmI'm a blooper reel collector. It doesn't matter what show or movie - I adore blooper reels. I have videotapes of blooper reels dating back to about 1981. Recently, I've been transferring them to the computer in order to digitize and preserve the reels on dvd. As I capture them, I test the files to make sure they're viewable, then I can get rid of the videotapes and make dvds.
*sigh* You see where this is going.
I had mistakenly stored the Star Trek: The Next Generation blooper reel in my X Files folder. After I burned the X Files blooper sets to dvd, I trashed the folder - with the Next Gen bloopers in it. The videotape (from 1988) was long gone. I had held onto that tape for 17 years, and now - gone forever.
Kinda hating on myself right now.
