MUPPETS TONIGHT ON DVD!!
If you never saw this short-lived series, it was an update of The Muppet Show, but this time instead of being in a vaudeville theater, the show took place in a tv studio. This is the program that first brought us Pepe the Shrimp, and some of the most surreal moments on television, such as Garth Brooks dressed as Tom Jones having underwear thrown at him by Muppets.
And it includes the first *overt* slash Muppet couple - Johnny Fiamma and his little monkey, Sal (Sal's last name is Monella). I dare you to see this series and say "Yeah, that deserved to be cancelled".
It also features an episode with Pierce Brosnan in a gigantic shrimp costume -- Prawn, James Prawn. And they let him keep the costume and he wore it for Halloween parties and proudly told everyone that "The Muppets" gave it to him.
