Open Wallet D. Solo here...
Sep. 27th, 2007 12:56 pmGood Lord, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. DVDs are finally here, and they are not fucking around.
The question is -- is it worth $250 to FINALLY be able to finish a vid I've had plotted out since 1996 and 1/3 done on VHS (from ye olde VCR-to-VCR vidding days) since 1998?
Oh, and of course, have the show on DVD (omg look at the packaging and the extras....) Interviews with both Robert Vaughn and David McCallum, 10 hours of on-set footage shot by McCallum himself, the "Solo" pilot, in color, the Emmy and Golden Globe broadcasts (omg I remember one MediaWestCon, sitting in a room full of MFU fans, watching a grainy copy of Vaughn and McCallum at the 1966 Globes accepting for Best Show, walking up to the stage hand-in-hand).
Can I somehow justify this as a necessary purchase for graduate school?
