Funny ha-ha, not funny uh-oh

Random poll time! Though okay, not entirely random, because I keep coming back to this particular itch of mine--when is a joke offensive, what makes it offensive, how can we find a joke horrifically offensive and still laugh our heads off at it (or are there many people who can't?).

This is a simple opinion poll; I thought about quantifiers such as "know your audience" or "take personal experience into account" or "too soon!", and decided that I just wanted an up-or-down vote. Obviously, comments are an open forum (and a place to share a joke or three, if you like!).

Boy, did I word this poll badly. *headdesk* If your answer would be "it depends", then your answer is "true", because "it depends" means that yes, sometimes whatever it is *could* be funny.

I haven't taken part in a meme-round in a long time, and I particularly like this one, so here goes. Ganked from everyone, most recently fan_eunice and sdwolfpup.

Name a character from one of my fandoms, and I'll give you (a) three facts about them from my personal canon/fanon, (b) a reason he/she sucks, (c) a reason he/she is awesomecakes, (d) five things that never happened to that character or (e) five people that character never fell in love with and why. You pick the character. I pick the letter.

Below the cut is a list of shows I've been fannish about which I can still remember enough of to answer one of these questions for most of the characters. I had to exclude a *lot* of fandoms, because I haven't seen them in so long that I wouldn't be able to do the characters justice. I'm sure I'm forgetting some that I could include, as well, but such is life.
