Details here at the WGA site, from the WGA Presidents.

I have done what I said I would do in support of the writers. I have not seen a single movie, bought a single DVD, or watched any streaming video since Day One of the strike. I doubt it made any difference, but I stood by the union and that was really all I could do. It was a bit of a trial by fire, though, since 2007 was one of the very best movie years in recent memory (if one goes by the critics' reviews).

Here's a short list of movies I wanted to see but haven't seen: There Will Be Blood; The Savages; Before the Devil Knows You're Dead; The Assasssination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford; No Country for Old Men; 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days; Juno; The Diving Bell and the Butterfly; Into the Wild; Cloverfield; Ratatouille; I'm Not There; La Vie En Rose; Away from Her; Zodiac; Gone Baby Gone; Enchanted; Starting Out in the Evening; Once; Persepolis; and God knows how many others.

So, if the deal is sealed, I'm going to BANKRUPT myself in order to see every single one of these movies which is still in the theaters, and to buy a fuckton of DVDs.
