As I've begun posting (with great trepidation) in a few Doctor Who communities, I've noticed something about Doctor Who fans' version of "icon love" that I haven't seen in any other fandom. Rather than commenting on something with "I love your icon; is it shareable?" the DW fans respond with "I love your icon and I'm stealing it! *yoink!*"

WTF, Doctor Who fans? "Hi, I'm taking this" is okay in what part of the universe?
