tzikeh: (our town - earth - peace - gentleness)

Please read this post from giandujakiss.

I know that my Republican friends skip my political posts, lest they become as incensed at me as I currently am at their party, but please, PLEASE, if you are planning to vote McCain/Palin and have read this far, please take a moment to read gianduja's post. It probably won't change your mind, but please, please read it and look at what they're saying. Look at what they're encouraging their followers to think.

My one comment there:

Terrorism
noun

1. The use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

So... who are the terrorists, again?
tzikeh: (house - silver platter - slash - wilson)

(SPOILER WARNING: The first few paragraphs of the article give away a plot point for the October 14 episode, but you can very easily view the photos without reading the article at this link.)

House/Wilson on the cover of TV Guide. Seriously. Slash pairing as the topic of a mainstream media magazine cover story.

Well, not *completely* seriously, but HOMG WTF SERIOUSLY? Or, as [livejournal.com profile] lydiabell said, "I mean, admittedly, we could have a whole conversation about how they're defusing the homoeroticism by hanging a lantern on it, or we could just ALSKDJF;ALSKDJF;LASKJF;ALSKDJF;LASKDJF;LASKDJF;LASKDFJ;LASKDJF;LASDKJF;ALSKDJF;LASDKFJ;ASLDKFJ;ALSFJ."

Click on the three links in this comment to read the article up close. Oh, Hugh Laurie. He compares the House/Wilson relationship to Butch/Sundance, to Hawkeye/Trapper, to (obviously) Holmes/Watson. How they're so close, how they can't survive without each other, how they... Oh, Hugh Laurie. Oh, Hugh Laurie.

Also? Silly String for the Not-Quite-Managing-To-Be-Subtextual WIN.

*so buying this issue tomorrow*
