2009--it eats people.

I was bitching yesterday (or the day before) that 2009 is eating my childhood and adolescence. I know, I know--as you get older, the people who influenced you die off, but for some reason this year has hit me particularly hard.

Here is just a partial list (and it's only the middle of September!) of people whom I admired, or was personally influenced by, or who directly influenced the larger world I live in.

Meh. There are some people who were really important to me who are very much getting (or already gotten) up there in age, and I'm thinking, "STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE, DEATH," but I won't write out their names. As superstitious as it sounds, I don't want to tempt the whatever from high atop the thing, you know?
