Emma Thompson signs the petition defending Roman Polanski

I know that I'm over-investing in someone I don't know, and that she's just one more drop in the bucket of celebs who are showing themselves to be assholes. I don't know why I thought she wouldn't be the kind of person to suggest that a child-rapist who's been enjoying the good life in France and making movies has, you know, *suffered enough*, and that the whole thing is "a case of morals." Unfortunately, she is.
