Spoiler-free

tzikehI'm a big old spoiler whore. This is not news to my friends. They have therefore been somewhat surprised to find me spoiler-free this season of Buffy. Hell, I thought I'd give it a shot and see how the other half lives.
So now, because I'm spoiler-free, I can play the "I think this is what's going to happen" game with my roommates![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
esorlehcar and whatssnoo. Last week after Buffy, I made a prediction about what was going to happen to character X. Esorlehcar said she didn't think that would happen to character X, but would, in fact, happen to character Y. I disagreed. We did the, "Well, I guess we'll see" routine and stepped back into our corners.
Then the WB upfronts were revealed.
I was the victim of a drive-by victory dance on AIM by Esorlehcar, who did the "I'm right and you're wrong!" boogie at me. I hmphed at her, but here's the thing --
I still think I'm right. Even in the face of the news which E believes supports her guess? This is the Jossverse. I don't count anything as proof of anything.
I think Spike is going to die. I think his whole storyline is leading up to him making the big sacrifice to save the world (and tangentially be the big dramatic gesture to prove his love for Buffy). The reason I think this is that my bet is on the Shanshu being Spike's, not Angel's. I think that will really mix things up over on Angel next year. E thinks that Spike will not die, but that Buffy will. I don't think Buffy is going to die - they've done it already. Twice.
In other news, there aren't a whole lotta West Wing spoilers out there, but I scarf down everything I can (which is TV Guide summaries and episode titles, basically). From what little I've been able to scrape together? I am so, so, so right about something. SO right.
John Goodman is going to play the character who replaces Hoynes. He's in the finale as the Speaker of the House, and the episode is called "25", which I assume refers to the 25th Amendment which takes power from the Prez and gives it to the Veep when the Prez is incapacitated. And having your daughter kidnapped? Kinda incapacitating. Since there's no Veep, it'll go to the SotH. Also? SotH is a Republican. They're going off to la-la land with a Bi-Partisan ticket.
Well, at least it won't be Leo. PHEW.

Then, when what happened two weeks ago happened, I thought... oh, *man*, I know where this is going. But then Josh pinned up that picture of Leo and I thought no no no no no no no - but now? I think I know what's going to happen.
What do you think's gonna happen tomorrow, by the by?

(And I apologize if I've just mangled Bartlet's name. I have no idea how to spell it, except that I dimly remember somebody somewhere yelling that it was not spelled like the apple, so I'm taking a guess, here.)
