The Thank-You Wagon

I vid rarely and I write even more rarely, but when I do, I have great help from many people. As I came to NLE via vhs vidding, the beta concept was one I didn't quite get into my first go-round on the computer. But my more recent intro vids were in collaboration with
whatssnoo, my (relatively) silent partner. We mostly betaed each other's work, but we also had help from
merryish,
killabeez,
elynross,
renenet, and
astolat. "Blue Skies for Everyone" and "Saved (Amazing Grace)" were again made in partnership with whatssnoo, and "Puttin' on the Ritz" was made in partnership with killabeez. They were also betaed by one or more of the following kick-ass people:
sockkpuppett,
thete1, merryish, killabeez, and I'm certain others I've forgotten. If I've forgotten you, please forgive me.
Fan Vids II: Beyond Beta: Vidding in the internet age allows for casually random, tiny moments of collaboration here and there, which means far more people have input on the vid than when we vidded on VCRs. There is also much more of a sense of community *while you're vidding* than there was when we vidded alone or with one other person. Now we can be in a room *full* of people, talking when we need to, and yet always having the silence we need to run that 18 frames of music over and over and over. I don't know how much of that process is apparent when vidders talk about working on their vids, but, at least as far as my experience has gone, it takes a village to raise a vid. (Or is that "it takes the Village People to raise a vid"... anyway.) My village is comprised of all of the people mentioned above, plus
sisabet,
pipsqueaky,
sweetesetdrain,
just_eunice,
sdwolfpup,
absolut3destiny,
f1renze,
heres_luck, and
vagabondage. You guys... I LOVE YOU GUYS....
