Brainfuck!
Jun. 3rd, 2003 11:29 amSo, thanks to
myrtleneunice, I went searching for a list of 220 lyrics from the eighties. And here they are. Some of them I knew right away, some of them I could hear and even *sing*, but couldn't place, and some of them? Clearly I wasn't listening to those stations.
The quiz doesn't have a place to enter your answers; I just opened textedit and typed mine in, then checked them against the answer key. But man, what a fun time-waster!

Arghh. Those are the worst. If you don't know the song, you don't. Which makes it easy to move on. But when that happens it's absolute hell. Several times Myrtle and I were singing the same two lines over and over for ten minutes trying desperately to access the rest of the song. It was embarrassing really.
Not quite as embarrassing as some of the songs we got right...*mumble*Air Supply*mumble*. Or the fact that I busted out singing "We gonna rock down to Electric Avenue...and then we'll take it higher" scaring the dog and startling Myrtle into hysterical laughter when she read out "Can't get food for the king". :D

I found myself rocking back and forth in my chair, in an autistic-but-knows-these-goddam-lyrics kind of way, with my eyes closed, going "It's no better to be safe than sorry, It's no better to be safe than sorry, It's no better to be safe than sorry..." and getting that same bright neon "NO ACCESS" sign. Grraar.
