Batch one is here. At the bottom is a link to batch two. If you've read the book, they aren't spoilery, and if you haven't read the book, they're not really "spoilery" in the sense that they reveal no plot other than "here is a place the characters are at one point, and here is a place they are at another point."

Nicole Kidman looks gorgeous, as does Daniel Craig. My God, his *eyes*.

I need a "conditional yay" icon - or perhaps a Gilbert and Sullivan "Modified rapture!" icon. I'm reserving judgment, but I'm hoping for the best.

I read that as, "Nicole Kidman looks gorgeous, and does Daniel Craig."

Nothing more need be said, I think.

Guh.

That would be okay by me.

Yeah... I have heard some discouraging things about the Bowdlerization of the plot for "American sensibilities", so I am still withholding judgment. But it *is* pretty, isn't it.

ooo, I'm trying to keep my expectations/squee low for the movie so I won't be too terribly crushed if they screw it up, but it's hard when the stills for the film are so pretty

All of this looks utterly splendid save for Nicole Kidman's costumes, which strike me as ever-so-slightly off in a way I can't quite describe. But when I see them in the world of the film, perhaps they will look right to me.

Wow, Nicole Kidman is perfect casting for whatshername. Mrs. Coulter, yeah?

The books were good but not life-changing for me, so I expect the movie will be about the same--I'll definitely be going to see it, though.

Hmm, I also don't have quite the appropriate icon for that emotion. Ah, well.

Wow. The casting and 'look' of the film appears to be very good! Thanks for the linkage!
