I have no idea how long this site is going to manage to stay up -- it must be in violation of about a gazillion vague laws, but wow, they have a nice choice of tv shows to view. For example, if you've never seen Strange Luck, hie thee hence and view for free.

(BTW, for the site above, when you click on TV Shows, it only displays the twenty most recently updated -- check via the alpha-order links for whatever you're looking for.)

And here's another site with a similar setup likely in violation of a similar number of vague laws.

Oh, and if anyone can figure out how to download the embedded files, a comment's as good as a wink to a blind bat! Know what I mean, know what I mean, know what I mean, squire?

Yeah, it won't let me download, either. I'll flag your post to see if anyone comes up with a helpful answer.

When you click on a video link on the first site (didn't check the second one you linked), you're redirected and told quite firmly you are leaving the site. I guess this is how they're trying to cover their asses?

Hmm, when I tried following a link, I got to a site veoh.com that hosted the video and that had a download link on the page itself. Otherwise, maybe one of those tool sites that allow you downloading the .flv videos from youtube, like http://keepvid.com/ will work with the embedded media of the site your embedded video is hosted at?

Yeah, I think the number and types of sites they link to must vary incredibly. The ones I've poked around and followed have been youtube or imeem.

Both sites have new windows pop up - the first links you to the site where the video is hosted, the second opens the video in the new window. If it doesn't work for you with Explorer, try Firefox (or vice versa). If it still doesn't work for some reason, you can try independently searching for whatever you're looking for in the hosting sites themselves - dailymotion.com has tons of new videos, and there are also veoh.com, gofish.com, stage6.divx.com. These are what I've been using to view all the American shows that aren't broadcasted here.

Hm - maybe you can help me out. I do use Firefox and I have all the cool downloady extensions, but I'm not seeing how to do this. For example: http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/1190

If I click an episode of this, it pops up in a separate little window, so I have no idea how to grab the file and keep it.

When you click on an episode there, for example the first, the little popup window tells you on which service the video is hosted, for the first of the first season its somesite called guba.com. I didn't manage to get the direct link URL from the popup, but when you search for the series name on that guba.com site it gives you the episodes as result, like this:
http://www.guba.com/watch/3000034879
when I try for the first episode, but I don't know how you could download from there, because the sites I know helping you download these streams don't list that particular service, and I don't have any firefox extensions for that. :(

Yeah, I don't know about Firefox extentions - as far as I know, whether or not you can download and save an episode depends on the site hosting the videos. Veoh and stage6, for example, both allow you to download the videos for free. GUBA's FAQ does mention downloading, but maybe it's just for paying users? I didn't really get that.

Osirus and I have been using alluc for a while now, but they are far from completists over there - we had to quit watching both Dexter and Coupling(UK) when the next ep was missing. *sob* (He was a thing about watching in order.) But yeah, I watched a bunch of thE animated Tick eps the other day. SPOOOOOON!

Thanks for the heads up. I managed to catch some "Dark Angel" episodes I was looking for.
