If anything was tailor-made for the livejournal meme phenomenon, it's the questionnaire Lipton uses at the end of Inside the Actors Studio just so he can say Behr-naaaahr Peeevohhh. Since the idea is to have it be without thinking hard, I won't edit - just put down what I type the first time.

Apparently, I just can't stop talking about myself. One more post about me me me after this, and then I'm done for a while.


What is your favorite word?

See, this one always confuses me, because there are really two questions being asked. One is really "what is your favorite concept", and one is "what word do you love the sound or feel of". So. Conceptual - contentment. Sound/feel - picayune.

What is your least favorite word?

Conceptual - injustice. Sound/feel - lactose.

What turns you on?

He always makes a point of saying "emotionally, artistically - it doesn't have to be sexual". Um... wit. Humor that engages multiple parts of my brain.

What turns you off?

Willful ignorance.

What sound (or noise) do you love?

It's a toss-up - the purr of a cat, or cellos.

What sound (or noise) do you hate

I hate that evil, high-pitched whine I can hear in some department stores - apparently it comes from the alarm system. Not everyone hears it.

What is your favorite curse word?

Well. It depends. If I'm cursing about someone else, it's usually "fucking asshole". If I'm cursing about me, it's usually "oh fucking fuck me." If I'm cursing about a situation, it's usually "well, fuck." So I guess "fuck".

What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?

I'd have loved to have been a figure skater. Let the mocking begin.

What profession other than yours would you not like to participate in?

Ummmm... well, garbage collector is right around the top. I know I wouldn't want to work in sales.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

"You were right about absolutely everything." Of course, I don't believe in God, so if God is speaking to me, I can't have been right about absolutely everything. But? If God's God, then God can swing the paradox.

A while ago in some interview, Ben Browder answered this questionnaire, and gave the best answer to this question I've heard yet (if you do believe in God). "They're all here."

(That answer also assumes you like the family that's gone before you...)

Well. I mean, lj doesn't always have to be about yourself. Sometimes it can be about current events, or sharing opinions, or engaging in discussion. I seem to be posting a disproportionate amount of "and now, some more facts about me!".

But soon, that will stop. I think. Maybe.
