tzikehSo - a friend of mine with relations in movie post-production had this little nugget to share -
Harvey Weinstein, upon seeing a cut of Return of the King, shuffled the Miramax release schedule around because he figured ROTK was a sure thing for Best Picture, and he didn't want to put anything up against it.
