This one doesn't swivel, so I don't know whether it would appeal to you or not, but the Canon PowerShot SD1101IS is 8 Megapixels (which translates into higher resolution) and can be had, according to Google, for $135 and up - a far cry from the $400 that the S230 ran seven years ago.
ETA: The Mac logo is greyed out on the product page. I don't know whether that means it's incompatible with Mac or not. Phooey.
