Any educators out there who can point me to one pro and one con article on Least Restrictive Environment / Inclusion in the classroom that I can pull up in EBSCO or JSTOR? It has to be peer-reviewed, and it has to be something I can pull up and print out tonight. Search-fu is made of fail tonight. Everything I'm finding is "How to teach in an integrated classroom" and I'm all, I'M NOT THERE YET! STOP PRESSURING ME! JUST SHOW ME DATA! GRAAAR!
(Yes, I have to write a paper and study for a final tonight. Tomorrow is end of Spring semester - FREEEEEEEEEE SOOOOOOOOON)

Date: 2009-05-08 03:55 am (UTC)I know of older articles like "Integrated Classroom versus Resource Model: Academic Viability and Effectiveness." that was in Exceptional Children. "The Effects of Inclusion on Learning." from Educational Leadership. "Parent and Teacher Perceptions of Outcomes for Typically Developing Children Enrolled in Integrated Early Childhood Programs: A Statewide Survey." from the Journal of Early Intervention.
I do have a couple links, but I don't know how helpful they will be. This article from Education World.
And Two Faces of Inclusion: The Concept and the Practice is a video that could be of use.
