1) It fucking rocks to work in an academic library if you have to do any kind of research. I'm just sayin'.
2) I just gave an orientation tour, and it's a great feeling to put a friendly face on the University Libraries for incoming freshmen and transfer students.
3) As a joke to help cheer my co-worker, Frances, I made a "cakewreck" style cake (Luck Good Fransis!) and not only has she been giggling away, it's been a hit with the rest of the department.
--- BTW if any of your "arrrggh!" has to do with financial aid or grants, you have my deepest sympathies. We cringe when we have to refer people to them on our campus.
