OH YEAH. WHILE YOU'RE AT IT: Click the Privacy tab on that page. Or just go to http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/?cat=privacy. I found myself having my public entries "promoted" on the LJ site. Um, DNW.

My entries stayed "minimized from search engines", whatever that means, but I had to tick the box that set my comments to the same setting.

Privacy is also where you disable PingBacks and My Guests.

Can they leave nothing alone?
