NewsComAu, an online news site in Australia, ran a correction today, rectifying a few errors made in an article they ran yesterday.

We're sorry for claiming Captain Kirk was in command of Captain Picard's starship.

Along with correcting the various errors brought to their attention by Star Trek fans regarding the different iterations of the Enterprise, and apologizing for possibly misusing the word "hyperspace," they state that Patrick Stewart is a handsome man. They also apologize for any errors that might be present in the error-correcting article.

They are using the still of Picard giving the finger as their accompanying photo.

Question, since you're from IL.... WTF is with the only blue counties for Senate being Chicago, which is understandable... and Alexander County, which is way down at the southern tip, and right across the river from the really redneck section of MO that my inlaws retired to? I don't grok it. There's no major college, is there?

I'm going to go look at zooborns.com and d'awwwwww away the post-election blues. At least my state picked Hickenlooper, Bennet, and rejected the stupid personhood amendment.

This is not their first time making similar errors. I actually wonder if that's the same subeditor as last time. Last time was years ago, when WorldCon was in Melbourne, and they did a photo about it in the Herald Sun, with a fanboy standing next to two cardboard cutouts, one of Spock, one of Captain Picard. It was labelled "[name of fan] with two Spocks."
