Question about last night's Dexter

Well, question about last night's Dexter after the requisite AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!



Okay, so, obviously the original woman is in cahoots with Jordan Chase, and he figured out that Dexter would find her from the blood and would go to her. Apparently she didn't know this when Dexter and Lumen showed up, so I assume she then called him, and he told her what to say if they came back. So, she gave Lumen Tilden's name, which let Dexter and Lumen find and scope out Tilden's place, and find the right room to set up as a kill room.

Chase, knowing Dexter and Lumen would use the information to try to kill Tilden, sits outside Tilden's house in his car, and when Dexter and Lumen showed up to kill him, Chase called Deb and gave her the story about Tilden calling about catching a flight out of Miami, knowing this would send Deb (and Quinn) to Tilden's house while Dexter and Lumen were there, so they'd get caught.

Dexter and Lumen have Tilden in the kill room. Deb and Quinn show up at Tilden's house, go inside, and see light coming from under the door. They open the door and enter.

We see Lumen kill Tilden.

Then we see Deb and Quinn outside, finding (what I assume is) Lumen's footprint in Tilden's yard.

Next, we see Dexter and Lumen back at Dexter's apartment--which means they had already chopped up the body, cleaned up the kill room, gone to the marina, taken the boat out, dumped Tilden's body into the ocean, come back to the marina, and then come home.

... what step did I miss here, that Deb and Quinn didn't find Dexter and Lumen in the kill room? And even if they somehow went into the wrong room, there's no way they couldn't have searched the entire house in the time it would take for Dexter and Lumen to chop up the body and clean up the room (not to mention noticing all the noise they'd make). Obviously, there was some kind of misdirect, or bit that wasn't revealed at first that was revealed later and I looked away? Or something?

In other news--most charming creepy romance *ever*! O HAI I DRESSED ALL WRONG LAST TIME DO I LOOK MORE LIKE YOU THIS TIME? / O HAI I BOUGHT YOU GLOVES JUST LIKE MINE SO NOW YOU'RE PERFECT!

Dudes, he bought her black leather kill gloves and the store put them in a box with *pink tissue paper*. The whole slow-building courtship has been this amazing combo geek-awkward/stone-cold-killer/I'll-trade-you-two-chocolate-chip-cookies-for-stabbity-lessons adorable. Adorabrrr! Adorabuh? IDEK. All I know is that they're like two little ceramic Precious Moments figurines--you know, the little boy figurine is holding both of his hands behind his back while leaning forward and kissing the little girl figurine on the cheek--except they're both drenched in blood and emitting sex pheromones liek woah.

(I really did think, at first, that Lumen was going to keep Dexter's arms bound behind his back by his shirts for the entire time that they had sex, so that she would be 100% in control, and that Dexter would let her. I kind of wish they had done it that way, as much for Lumen being in control of the situation as for Dexter not having any control over the situation--NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING, MIND.)

They can't kill her, can they? Not after Rita. But is she going to stay around next season? Are they going to be like the couple from... was it S2? The couple Dexter killed in the car junkyard, who murdered together. Or is the show going to actually break my heart by having Dexter send her away from Miami for good, like in Casablanca except not like that at all?

AND WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY GOING TO DO ABOUT ROBOCOP!
