What a difference a well-written character makes

Man, Jennifer Morrison was completely wasted as Cameron on House. She's fucking brilliant on How I Met Your Mother.

Yep, I realized that a few years ago when I saw JM in a shitty made-for-TV movie and not only liked her character but was impressed by her acting. And I'm fully aware of how two-dimensional most female characters are written, so I shouldn't have been shocked, really.

Heck, she gave us more in 5 minutes of Star Trek than she was allowed to give in YEARS on House. I like House, but I don't kid myself about its range as a show *rolleyes* :p

I was going to mention that about Star Trek. I absolutely did not recognize her there and was shocked when I saw the credit--and it's because even briefly, she was actually allowed to use her chops.
