Here comes Fannish Crazy Week! Here come the Upfronts!

Or, should I say, here come the upfronts for the "important" tv networks (gag). USA, AMC, and FX have already had upfronts, to an extent).

Next week, both FOX and NBC will present on Monday, ABC Tuesday, CBS Wednesday, and CW Thursday. You can follow along at The Futon Critic. So far, they only have the season scorecard up, and of this moment it's not 100% correct (though it has cool stuff like "new shows running this summer), but once next week rolls around they'll have lots and lots of info (and opinions). All links on the grid take you to descriptions of the shows.

The upcoming new show I'm most excited about so far is FX's American Horror Story, starring Connie Britton, Dylan McDermott, Denis O'Hare, and OMG JESSICA LANGE.

Not that it was a huge surprise, but I do have a bit of a fondness for that show despite its failings. ~~I was into FACS before it became a TV series~~

Wait, Human Target was still on? It must run on a night I'm working or otherwise busy, 'cause I haven't seen it in a long time and I really liked it. Never heard of the other shows, except Lie to Me (which I've never watched), and that's another one I assumed had been cancelled a long time ago. Huh.

I'm not sure exactly, but it's on the fall schedule as a main part of the line-up, whereas before it was just a December treat.

Huh! Well, I heard that it did extraordinarily well last season, so I am eager to see how they will respond to that. If they could cut the cheesy host dialogue and replace the pointless judge, that'll be a good start...
