Here's what I said when the nominees were announced.
Never in my life have I been so happy to have been so wrong (well, two for four, anyway).
Winners so far this evening:
Drama Series: Sherlock
Awwww, the whole gang accepted together! And they said how fitting it is that today is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's birthday!
Best Supporting Actor (DESERVEDLY SO): Martin Mother Fucking Freeman. (That's MMFF to us plebes.) That should cheer him up a bit--he's been having a rather rough time getting work since Sherlock.
Alex Kingston presented Best Supporting Actor -- that was a nice fandom mash-up. And, goodness, I know she's tall, but Freeman is just wee, isn't he.
(Oh, God, "The Wee Freeman." Kill me now, Terry Pratchett.)
Best Actor: Daniel Rigby - Eric and Ernie
Well. Okay, I didn't see it, so I can't judge but. Well. That's. Well.
Fuck.
My guess is that Matt Smith and Benedict Cumberbatch split the vote. Ah, well. BC can't be feeling to great about that. Three-time BAFTA nominee, no-time BAFTA winner. And tonight, especially. Ouch.
And YouTube Award went to The Only Way is Essex. Whatevs, British public.
But YAY SHERLOCK and YAY MARTIN FREEMAN.
I love this: The BAFTAs as animated GIFS. (well, the four awards pertaining to Sherlock, anyhow.)
And oh, my heart:

He's saying "I couldn’t have done it without Benedict Cumberbatch, who is a fantastic Sherlock." BC's CREYES ♥
