It might as well take out a "For Your Consideration" ad in Variety, suggesting itself as "Next Slash Fandom."

Hm, but interracial buddy pairings don't really seem to end up with vibrant slash fandoms though. I mean look at how in Psych Shawn/Lassiter ended up as the popular pairing not Shawn/Gus, or how way back the venerable Miami Vice fandom where the common slash pairing was Crockett/Castillo iirc not Crockett/Tubbs.
