West Wing will be broadcast next week

tzikehThe episode of The West Wing which was supposed to air Wednesday, which was then moved to the 29th, is now going to air on the 22nd (this coming Wednesday). Confused yet? Here's the scoop -
NBC pulled the ep when the Championship Series was forced to a 7th game. They knew that a Cubs/Marlins 7th game would draw a huge audience (it did), and didn't want a new episode competing for ratings. They rescheduled the episode for the 29th so it wouldn't have to air against what was looking like the Cubs first World Series since 1945. When the Cubs lost Game 7, and then the Sox lost their Game 7 last night, NBC went to the research numbers which said that a Yankees/Marlins World Series was the *least* popular outcome of the playoffs and that far fewer people would be watching the World Series next week than would have if it had had either the Cubs or the Sox in it, and so put the new episode back on the schedule for this coming Wednesday.
