fannish5. Keen!
1) What is the movie that scared you the most? (Notice I didn’t say the scariest movie.) Does it scare you still?
The Shining terrified me when I was a kid - whenever I was afraid, I'd sleep with my back pressed against the wall to feel secure -- but Jack comes *through* the wall. There was no escape. Brrr. It no longer scares me.
2) What is the tv show or episode that scared you the most? Does it scare you still?
Probably "Home" on The X Files. When they pulled Momma out from under the bed... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Again, no longer scares me.
3) Do you watch horror movies/tv shows or avoid them? Why?
I don't actively seek them out, but I don't avoid them. If the story sounds intriguing or the ads are more than half-naked teenagers being chased by creepy things with sharp metal objects, I'll be more inclined to watch (The Ring being an example of that).
4) What is the best “Very Special Halloween” episode of all time? Why?
"Halloween" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer Because it used the concept of dressing up and becoming someone else as a plot point, not just as a way to get cast members into cute costumes. And I loved the idea that vampires and other creatures find the whole Halloween thing totally bogus and take the night off.
5) You have an unlimited budget and the best costumers and makeup people from Hollywood to help you, who or what do you dress as for Halloween?
I imagine this would change from year to year. This year? I'd get a sweater and a pair of jeans, put some white paint on my nose, and have the Hollywood people create a foam SUV door that would be attached to me with a remote-controlled retractable leash of some sort. Every so often, I'd activate the mechanism which would whip the SUV door up against my back and I'd fling myself backwards. I'd go as Every Highlander Vid Ever Made.
ETA: If anyone wants to get out of a costume party this evening or weekend, just call and tell the host you're dressed as Weapons of Mass Destruction, so you will not be making an appearance.

Date: 2003-10-31 12:04 pm (UTC)For the longest time (and it's still really the case) my only familiarity with Highlander came from the vids. It seemed like someone was daubing someone's nose with paint every week on that show to judge from the vids. :-)

That's pretty much what I'm doing. I'm staying upstairs wishing I had candy, but there's nothing in the house except Tootsie Rolls. Damn.
This WMD costume has its drawbacks.
