So - emails you never get at *your* job, that I get at mine.

"Does anyone have Queen's 'Killer Queen' on cd? We need it to spice up an interstitial about Queen Elizabeth." (Well. That's going to be an odd little piece of educational television.)

"We need a copy of Playboy in braille for the documentary on the 50th anniversary. Any help appreciated." (note: I *could and did* lead them to a copy.)

"Cyndi Lauper feels her dressing room is too dark - can anyone lend us a floor lamp?" (I did not feel the urge to go meet Cyndi Lauper, as I did with Art Spiegelman, Elie Wiesel, Kofi Annan, and Al Franken. Nor did I have a floor lamp. Tough luck, Cyndi.)

We need a copy of Playboy in braille

A braille Playboy, wow. Now I'm curious, does it only have the articles, or did they find a way to make the pictures more accessible too?

It only has articles. I guess back in the day, people really *did* read it for the articles. They had some amazing people writing for them.

These are great. My favorite workplace e-mail I ever got though, had the subject line, "Please do not smoke around the nuclear reactor." (Our building is right next to the old, not-used reactor on campus.)

I'm fairly certain no one else has ever gotten that one. Unless they worked at Hanover or something.
