Sorry I'm behind in this. Life; it's always getting in the way of my fun.

I've been talking with [livejournal.com profile] sithdragn about all the MUNCLE zines I have, and about her idea (which was apparently spawned at Connexions) to gear up a nice big MUNCLE zine lending library for the newer chunk of the fandom which has never had access to them. I didn't know about this until after I'd announced that there would be lots of MUNCLE zines available from me, and she contacted me, and we've been in hostage negotiations. ;)

On the one hand, I think it would be *great* for the fandom to have all of these zines available to be lent out, as does she. On the other hand, there is a feeding frenzy energy running through the newer MUNCLE fen online about the coming zine announcement, and there's nothing I hate more than stomping a fannish buzz.

So here's what we have agreed to do. I'm going to compile a list of all the MUNCLE zines I'm willing to part with. [livejournal.com profile] sithdragn will get first crack at the list, and search for the very out-of-print, rarer zines or zines she think would make a great addition to the library. Then I will make the remainder of the list public for fannish consumption.

Now - here is Sith's email address (sithdragn at gonwan dot com). If you want to help out with the library, or have zines to donate, please drop her a line - and those of you who wind up taking my zines from the posted list, I encourage you to read your fill and then maybe contact her about donating them to the library as well.

Sound good to all of you?

For all the other fandoms and multimedia zines, I'll be listing all of them this week. The first batch have all been mailed out, and I'm ready to move to the next. I'll just list fandom and name of zine for most, but for the multimedia I will try to list all the fandoms included in the zine. Forgive me if I don't get it 100% correct -- I'll do my best. ;)

I think that's a wonderful idea! So much of the MFU fiction isn't available online and chances are many of the stories never will be. Instead of giving a few people the opportunity to read one or two of these zines a lending library gives the entire fandom the opportunity to read them. Brava to both you and to Sith!

Although I was right in there with the other piranhas, I think a lending library is a much better idea. :) Good thinking, you guys.

Ardent, Ardent, Ardent. There will still be a feeding frenzy - it will just have a smaller list. :)

Hey - can you drop me a line at tzikeh at thechicagoloop dot net?
