tzikeh: Imagine if "wizarding" is a broad sub-genus of mutation.
jacquez: wizarding is kind of too old for that, though.
tzikeh: but! what if they were wrong about when mutants began appearing
jacquez: the earliest mutation is...what? Wolverine's, back in the 1800s?
tzikeh: because wizards kept so out of the muggle world.

Yahtzee63: Every mutation could have some counterpart in a spell.
Yahtzee63: And there could be antispells that let Rogue get touched and thereby have lots of sex with Logan.

Yahtzee63: I kinda like the idea of it being Grindenwald. It began as a curse, but may end up making the Muggle world more powerful even than the Wizarding World. Which is one reason Voldemort's all crazy about bloodlines and stuff.
tzikeh: certainly, Voldemort would be enough to unite Charles and Erik against a common foe. I mean, to Voldemort, mutants are just Muggles 2.0
Yahtzee63: Indeed. Though I think some mutants on Charles' side would argue -- and Charles would at least consider -- that the end of mutation would not be the worst thing n the world.

Actually, I think the oldest known mutant is Apocalypse, who's...erm. Really old. Him or Mr Sinister. IIRC, current Marvel canon says mutants have been around almost as long as humanity, it's just in the last 100-200 years that their appearance has really sped up.

Not that I'm a geek or anything.
