Everyone I know who has an Amazon.com wishlist should get busy updating...

Have been doing. Am drooling over all sorts of things I'm not going to get because they're not reasonably-priced. *g* Ahh, the holidays. Thank heavens for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, which is free!

Um. There's fourteen Laura Shapiros with wishlists. *g* Give me a clue?

(I doubt I'll be buying random holiday gifts for people -- mostly I'm just surfing y'all's wishlists and nabbing ideas from you to pad my own. Plus, it's fun to see what my friends are into...)

Thanks for the parenthetical; I don't actually give gifts in December, so it's often a bit awkward to receive them. But feel free to peruse.

I'm the Laura Shapiro in San Francisco, if that helps. My wishlist includes Farscape S4 and a number of novels.

Thank you! Yes, that solves it.

Oooh. Those novels look neat.

::scurries off to read reviews::

I've actually read several of them, but don't own copies. I am a devoted re-reader, so it is definitely time to pick some of them up. Especially The Left Hand of Darkness. God, I love LeGuin.

And now I will stop hijacking [livejournal.com profile] tzikeh's journal.

Done

You always have to remind me...

Okay, done. Some, anyway.

Do you mean to tell me that there are people who *don't* constantly update their wish list? Heretics. *g*

You'd think 31 pages would be enough for her...

Oh good lord. Mine is 7, and that's really stretching it. At least 25% of them say 'don't buy this for me'. 'Cause I'm not sure. *g*

Oh, quite a few of mine, do, too, but I do these adding jags, you know? Either going through someone else's list, or I add something, and then it says, "also bought," with handy, one-click "add to your wishlist" buttons, and I'm off. I can always tell when that happened, because there will be a clump of Gordon Lightfoot, or a clump of musicals on dvd, or...

Ha! I was just doing that. Muahaha.

I had to take off all of the porn and manga, though, because my parents want to see it. Drat.

Heh. My Amazon wishlist flies under deep cover, with a variant of my RL name (which, upon searching, I discover brings up 641 matches). I use it mainly for stashing books I might want to read, or movies I might want to see, or stuff I want to remember to think about maybe getting someday for self or others.

All gift-giving rituals make me deeply neurotic and weird. What I crave with avidity is the Wiseguy Weekend, with you (and Sisabet, and Zen, and whoever else might be roped in), flumped on a sofa, matching you squee for squee, "FRAAANNK!!" with "SONNNYYY"!" Let's make that happen, yes?

Oh, we will *definitely* make that Wiseguy Weekend happen. Not to worry.

In fact, Zen is here right now watching a whole load of Farscape. ;)
