1) Seattle folk on my friendslist - this kitten needs a home and is in your town. Please help.

2) I'm pretty certain that there's a law on the books somewhere that says that Elton John and Bernie Taupin are not allowed to write A musical of The Vampire Lestat.

3) It's amazing how much geometry comes back to you with a little studying. Slope is rise over run! I remember that!

4) Sweeney Todd? Still the best musical ever.

the trouble is, all the recorded versions feature George Hearn in the lead role. And I *vastly* prefer Len Cariou who did it on B'way (I saw it several times.)

Brian Stokes Mitchell did it a little while ago and there's rimors he'll bring it to B'way.

I really hope so because I dislike Hearn's interpretation and he's become nearly inescapable.

My own, admittedly grumpy, reaction is that Elton John, Bernie Taupin, The Vampire Lestat, and Anne Rice all deserve each other.

And I embrace your large geometry-retaining brain! Are you swotting up for the GREs? (In my own GRE prep, I managed to learn an amazing amount of math, most of it for the first time, and forgot it all instantly after the test.)

::dies::

You could write a story about their production meetings! However, Anne would want you to treat her like a Mary Sue:
Anne tossed her raven tresses and her sable eyes flashed as she fixed Elton with an angry gaze...

Yeah - it's for the GREs, and yeah, it's strange what you recall.

Once GREs are taken and applications are in, it's WISEGUY TIME!

Man. I used to *like* the Elton-Bernie collaborations. There was good music there, once.

Now? ::shudder::

I'm feeling kind of that way about trying to learn Hebrew grammar, actually. *g*

Why are you relearning geometry?

Considering they've been talking about it for at least 20 years (although back then the topic of discussion IwtV, not TVL), it's entirely possible you're right. I rather suspect you have nothing to be afraid of.
