In case you haven't seen, VividCon is looking for song suggestions for dance vids. Anyone can submit ideas, vidder or not, planning to attend or not. We'll post a list of suggested songs next week and then vidders can pick songs to make vids to as part of our new plan to get Club Vivid programmed early.

Drop by and suggest some fun music - we're looking for all genres, from disco to rave, from jitterbug to the Hokey Pokey (and no, I'm not joking about the Hokey Pokey! Come on! Wouldn't that be a fun vid to work on?)

Oh, I was thinking of this squash icon the other day when I saw the gigantic boulder in the middle of the highway in California. I immedately visualized the photo with "giant boulder" "here's luck" written on it.

I, OTOH, think the Hokey Pokey should be done as a Babylon 5. Begin with the bit where Londo is actually discussing it, cut to him doing a bit of itand bring the music in.

Actually, the Hokey Pokey is a once upon a time in mexico vid, what with the blood, and the explosions, and the fake limbs. Not to mention the spins and other cool things that they do. Alternating verses, El and Sands... It'd be fun.

You could probably do it for West Wing. Non literal "hokey pokey" would be political maneuverings, "turn yourself around" would be changing your mind on an issue.

On Buffy it could be all about being evil and being good. OOOH! It's a Willow vid!

You know, I never realized how amazingly versitile and viddable the Hokey Pokey is. I think I have a Boiled in Lead cover of it somewhere. Or is that the Bunny Hug?
