Cake or death?

I had a lovely weekend pimping The Invisible Man to coffee_and_ink, vagabondage, and katallison, and we were also joined by sisabet, renenet, cereta, itsthewa, esorlehcar, and whatssnoo, with intermittent visits from merryish and taraljc. Plus we got in all seven episodes of House, a bunch of Blackadder, and managed to hook sisabet on Carnivale before she left this morning. Astounding amounts of mirth and merriment were produced in my living room, and maybe I'll remember a little of it when I've recovered. I also have many, many more thoughts about Carnivale, but they will have to wait until such time as I can actually put them in coherent order. Right now they're along the lines of "MY HEAD A SPLODE". Which while amusing at low levels isn't really worth an entire post.

It's Darien's tattoo from The Invisible Man. See, the substance (called Quicksilver) which lets him turn invisible also causes him to go crazy if too much of it builds up in his body. So he has this tattoo which turns more red the closer he is to going Quicksilver Mad. That's why there's a Sane Cake and an Insane Cake.

But you should really watch the show to learn more. The good folks over at hot_donuts are putting up episodes on BitTorrent. (What's that sound I hear? Why, I do believe it's the Pimp Wagon!)

Bravo, you guys.
I'm just a little lost I-Man fan who has yet to take up the live journal thing, but I wanted to say thanks for doing more to encourage participation in this 'lost' fandom than anyone in the so-called 'organized' fandom. Nice cakes, too. ;^D If I knew where you lived, I'd have come calling for a slice. Chocolate. Well, strawberries, too. Heck. I'm a pig. I'd take both flavors.

Oh, and if any of you want the eps on DVD, I have them and can burn them for the cost of the blanks. ringteign@yahoo.co.uk knows who I am, and where to find me (I have region 1 and 2 DVD masters, for you folks overseas).
