AIM name - since it seems to be going around

This is kinda weird because it sounds like "Hey! You want to talk to me - you KNOW you do!", but there have been times I've thought "I'd love to invite Fan X to chat, but what if she thinks I'm a big dork?" So I'm posting my... chatting policy? Something? Info.

I don't have googletalk, but I have AIM and irc. On AIM I'm tzikeh and you're welcome to IM me. If I don't respond, it's likely I'm away from the computer or don't see the window or one of eight million other reasons I might not respond. Don't worry - it's not personal. ;)

I'm on irc as tzikeh as well, but I only hang out in one or two rooms, and yes, believe it or not, even *I* can be quiet for long stretches at a time, so don't think I'm ignoring you if I show up and shut up. If you want to invite me into an irc room, just drop me an email (or find me on AIM *g*).

You can use googletalk on a mac. The site tells you how to make adium or iChat work with it. ;)

Yeah - I jumped to google talk as soon as I heard it was mac compatable, but someone has a gmail account as tzikeh, and I guess you have to have a *gmail* account with the name first.

Chat! On your suggestion, I downloaded ircle the other week, and I made great strides just hanging in the vividcon-chat room that was up last week. Not so great strides with the actual chatting, but firing up the program and entering the room is a big step for me. I like the idea of just hanging out in rooms (well, once you told me how to get around the bouncing dock problem. *g*) I see chatty things on my future when I become more comfortable with it.

I'm nelbarkley on AIM, and I try to be Barkley on irc (though I've never not succeeded, so I'm thinking that there isn't really a great not-unique rejection database in the sky. I think I'll go google now.)
