He used this date to wrap his privileged, sheltered, narrow-minded, racist, classist, ignorant bullshit in the flag.

He used this date - this date which gained us unmatched support from nearly every country in the world - to scorn them and isolate us.

He used this date to paint anyone who dared dissent as at best unpatriotic and at worst a terrorist sympathizer.

He used this date to create a false warning system to frighten citizens whenever his ratings dipped or his opponent spoke. (Note that you have not seen that color-coded "alert" graphic since the day after the election.)

He used this date to severely curtail our civil rights and excoriate the Constitution.

He used this date to start a war in an unrelated country for an unrelated reason - a war which we are still fighting, and losing, today.

He is now using this date to try to tug the wool back down over eyes which have been opened.

Stay angry.

You know, your second paragraph is so true. For a short time, the whole world was on your side. I remember over 100,000 people at a memorial in Ottawa, all crying. Then came the Homeland Security overkill, and Iraq, and suddenly a lot of countries were backing away from W's lunacy.
