We're watching the TiVOlympics, so we can skip everything but the figure skating.

tzikeh: I think if I could start my life over, I might become a figure skater.
merryish: I would never, ever do that.
tzikeh: It's so lovely.
merryish: But you're mostly naked and very cold.
tzikeh: Oh, no, you're so hot --
merryish: Thank you. But I still wouldn't do it.

Had I but world enough, and time, I'd watch the entire thing, even chunks of hockey and curling. But Time's winged chariot, not to mention the need to earn a living, means that I'm mostly restricted to prime-time coverage. (I still remember the 1998 winter Olympics fondly, because I was unemployed, and spent pretty much the entire time glued to the TV set. Got a lot of cross-stitch done, too.)

What I wish, though, is that they'd show all of the figure skating, not just the Americans plus the top few skaters.

The TiVOlympics are so much better than the regular Olympics. I'm trying to remember why I didn't do this four years ago. (And now I can't remember exactly when I got my ReplayTV.)
