BSG finale

They.
It.
Okay, my Roslin/Adama ship is showing through - in the scene where he and she discuss the attempt to steal the election, he is *immediately* putting himself part and parcel in the muck with her. "If we do this" - not "If you do this." Theirloveissodiebold!
I'm already seeing some whining on lj about the "One Year Later", and I am here to say I *fucking loved it*. Watching the humans build irrigation systems and create textile mills? Boring. Jumping a year to a time when there's a resistance building against Baltar, couples have coupled up, Roslin's a teacher, the fleet is now running on a skeleton crew, and the Cylon peace movement has had time to gain enough support throughout the Cylon world that it's viable and sending emissaries to the humans? AWESOME. Plus getting to see the French!Gaius surrender and the Nazi!Cylons walk down the Champs Elysées? Come on, you KNOW you love it.
Also, Gaeta? Feeling pretty stupid about complaining to Adama NOW, aren't you?
OMGWTFOCTOBER?!
And did you stick around to the very end of the credits? Priceless.

I'm not sure yet what I thought about the time-jump. One observation: P. speculates there was an executive order issued sometime during that year that all colonists must now have really bad hair.
