This is so freaky for so many reasons. Not only was I telling
renenet,
f1renze,
merryish,
shrift,
heresluck, and
vagabondage *just yesterday* about how they should really do a DVD of MFU right away because hey, Robert and David aren't getting any younger (also I REALLY WANT TO FINISH THE VID THAT I STARTED 12 YEARS AGO ON VHS), but I *also* did a google search for U.N.C.L.E. on dvd on a whim last night and found two scam versions of "the complete series" for $200.
Then this news from tvshowsondvd.com in my mailbox at 5:30 am:
'Napoleon Solo' Says DVD is On The Way, And That He's Doing Extras!
...
Wig. I am having the wig. There is wig occurring. Wow.
MFU! MFU! MFU!
(which I now realize could also stand for Mother Fucking University. Yay!)

Date: 2006-03-27 03:54 pm (UTC)Yay! The idea that it didn't sell because the first year is in black and white seems an odd one, though. I mean, they've been selling things like Cisco Kid and Have Gun Will Travel--not to mention a myriad of old movies--just fine. Granted, for the new people they want to get interested in the show, I know people who won't watch anything that isn't in color, for reasons passing my understanding. But their main buyer base, I'm assuming are FANS and people nostalgic for shows from their childhood. So, WTF?
